Here are a few tips to help you save energy today.
First, change your light bulbs to compact fluorescent lamps. These lamps look like a spiral ice cream cone and screw right in.
They even help you to save as much as $30 a year each!
Similar to a leaking faucet, energy can leak in the form of heat, so even when electrical devices are not being used, they still consume some energy. By unplugging or turning off your power strips you’ll stop the energy leaks and save money.
This savings could be around $5 per power strip per year.
The next tip is geared to help you save money at the pump.
When driving on the freeway, its best to roll your windows up. The additional drag caused by open windows will affect your mileage and ultimately your wallet.
By rolling up your windows on the freeway you could save over $300 per year.
