Someone once told me that fear is the emotion that stops real estate buying and selling in its tracks - and that fear comes from a lack of confidence, which comes from a lack of market knowledge.

At Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties, our sales professionals are able to give clients the confidence they need to make good decisions in today’s real estate market. They are extremely knowledgeable about the market and clients’needs, thanks to their tireless work ethic and the array of training and support services we make readily available. This combination of personal effort and extensive support is critical to success in today’s real estate market, and it is equally important to future success, as we dedicate ourselves to our mission of delivering real estate experiences that exceed expectations.

Being the largest firm in the state, people find it hard to believe there is a real feeling of ohana within the company. I joined Coldwell Banker in 2000 and was immediately enveloped by the spirit of teamwork and respect I found. Real estate is a very competitive business, but what I see at Coldwell Banker is camaraderie balanced with competition that compels people to perform at their best - while enjoying it.

At Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties, we thrive on helping our agents and employees succeed in their careers. Our agents receive the most comprehensive hands-on experience and training available in the state. Through our new Education and Development Center, experienced and freshmen agents learn from the best and brightest people in the business. The new 2,500-square-foot center located in Kahala opened its doors just this year and is the first of its kind in Hawaii. Our employees all have the opportunity to explore Career Adventures, a program designed to help them achieve their career goals through new job challenges and assignments.

In addition, ongoing training is critical to success today, and it is central to our daily operations. For example, our ProVision program offers frequent brown bag sessions with topics ranging from how to stage a property, the best way to appraise a property, to Kakaako Redevelopment happenings. Other training programs include HOTs (Hands-On Training) sessions offered to our Previews luxury agents that provide monthly, individualized training to agents. This training might include a field trip to Kahala Beach to learn about the history of the area and homes in the area, an understanding of the beaches, access lanes and more - all things that provide our agents with the very best information to use when working with clients so that they have the confidence they need to make an informed decision.

Along with this superior training, all Coldwell agents enjoy extensive administrative and IT support. Our philosophy is to provide support services that allow our agents to focus on real estate. We enable our agents to leverage the latest technology without spending any time on technology issues. They don’t need to worry about having software that works, having a printer break down, or virtually anything about technology. In fact, we have a fully staffed IT help desk available to every agent free of charge.

Agents have always been on the go, so as technology evolves, we provide them with mobile solutions. Our support of Treo PDAs and our unique mobile desktop provides agents with superior access to technology wherever they are. This makes it easier for them to focus on what’s most important - the needs of their clients and helping them feel confident in their purchase or sale.

It’s not enough that Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties provides the best training, support and technology for our agents. We need to know if our clients feel like they are benefiting from it as well. Through our Top Block Program, we want to know that every aspect of each sales transaction was met to a high level of satisfaction: the “top block” of the survey. Research is conducted by an independent company. Responses are quite positive, and the response rate exceptionally high. We also greatly appreciate all constructive comments we receive as they allow us to better understand our clients’ needs and continuously improve.

I’ve always felt it so important to know who you are and know where you are going. Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties was formed during a challenging time in the local real estate market. We know how to help agents be successful no matter what kind of market we face, including today’s changing market. And we are dedicated to eliminating fear of real estate through knowledge that builds confidence.
