Fitted Teams Up With Hawaiian Sun
Fitted has teamed up with Hawaiian Sun to produce a limited run of a custom New Era hats featuring a unique pattern and colors of the three juices used in POG (Pass-O-Guava): passion fruit, orange juice and guava. The cap ($59) also features a map of the Hawaiian Islands and a woven bill symbolizing the baskets that were used to transport the fresh pickings of fruit.

Ala Moana Center’s Fukubukuro
On Jan. 1, Ala Moana Center presents its annual Fukubukuro event, in which stores will sell “happy grab bags” valued at twice the cost.
Fukubukuro, meaning “lucky bag,” is a Japanese custom and an Ala Moana Center tradition since 2004. Each year, participating stores sell bags that are sealed to prevent shoppers from knowing the contents. The surprises vary, but expect jewelry, accessories, handbags, home goods and more. In the past, bag prices have ranged from $10 at Pacific Place Tea Garden to $5,000 at Gucci.
This year will mark the center’s largest Fukubukuro event to date, with more than 50 participating merchants: Animation Magic, Anteprima Wirebag, Bag’n Baggage, Bally, Betsey Johnson, Cathedral Gift Shop, Claire’s, Dewcarat, Diesel, Disney Store, Dooney and Bourke, Emporio Armani, Fendi, Folli Follie, Godiva Chocolatier, Gucci, Hawaiian Quilt Collection, Hilo Hattie, Hula Lehua, Island Edge, Lacoste, Lego, LeSportsac, Links of London, Local Motion, L’Occitane, Loco Boutique, Lupicia, Martin & MacArthur, Maui Divers Jewelry, MAX & Co., Metropark, Michael Kors, Midori-dori, Neiman Marcus, The Pacific Place Tea Garden, Pitter Patter, Proactiv, Reyn’s, Salvatore Ferragamo, Shanghai Tang, Silver Rhino, Spiral Girl, Swatch, Thinker Toys, Trade Secret, Valerie Joseph, Vera Bradley, Victoria’s Secret, Vim n’Vigor and W Salon.
