Children’s Consignment Event At Windward Mall

The next Rhea Lana Hawaii children’s consignment event happens Aug. 27 to 29 at Windward Mall. Consignors can register and input items now through Aug. 22 at honolulu.rhealana.com.

This will be Rhea Lana Hawaii’s final sales event of the year. The temporary store will be located on the second level near Regal Theatres and will accept clothing (children, maternity and junior), toys (indoor and outdoor), furniture (children and household), baby equipment, books, puzzles, video games, DVDs, sports equipment and more. Consignors keep 70 percent of their total sales.

“Our specialty is name-brand and boutique-brand children’s clothing,” notes Terrence Iwamoto, president of Rhea Lana Hawaii. “Children’s furniture, toys and baby equipment are also among our top sellers. Expectant mothers love shopping at our events because of the wide selection, unique items and the opportunity to get everything they need in one place.” Rhea Lana Hawaii also has partnered with The Lokahi Giving Project, which will receive a portion of the sale’s proceeds and will distribute any donated, unsold items directly to families in need in Hawaii. Festival Of Giving At Ward Centers

Ward Centers offers local nonprofit organizations an opportunity to raise money for their causes by selling tickets for Festival of Giving, a three-day shopping extravaganza that takes place Nov. 12-14. The $10 tickets give shoppers exclusive discounts and special offers from more than 100 participating shops and restaurants throughout Ward Centers. Participating nonprofit groups begin selling tickets in September, and the organizations keep 100 percent of their ticket proceeds.

A special meeting for interested nonprofits is scheduled for Aug. 24 at 10:30 a.m. To register for the meeting or for more information, call Heidi Kuia at 591-8411, ext. 231 or e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). RSVPs for the meeting are requested by Aug. 18.
