New York City comes to Honolulu as the Meeting Professionals International Aloha Chapter hosts an all-day event Jan. 19 at The Modern Honolulu featuring David Beahm, world-renowned event designer and founder of the New York City-based event design and production firm David Beahm Design.


It begins with a morning session from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in The Modern Honolulu’s Sun Suite, providing attendees the opportunity to learn more about Beahm and ask questions in small group conversations. The main event, which will be hosted in The Modern Honolulu’s Ballroom from noon to 2 p.m., includes lunch, networking opportunities and Beahm’s presentation on luxury wedding and event-design techniques.Then, the MPI Aloha Chapter will host its first Meet & Greet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in The Modern Honolulu’s Lobby Bar.

Known for his inventive work and trademark lavish flower creations, Beahm has designed countless weddings for high-profile clients including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, as well as a host of celebrity and Fortune 500 corporate events. His diverse corporate client base includes Target, The Discovery Channel, Champagne Perrier-Jouet, Van Cleef & Arpels Jewelry, Victoria’s Secret Beauty, Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton.


A Day with David Beahm at The Modern Honolulu costs $80 for all three sessions, or you can choose to attend just the morning session for $45, the luncheon presentation for $55, or the meet and greet for $15. For more information, go to mpi-alohachapter.com.
