New Balance Hawaii, an athletic footwear and apparel shop, has opened at Ward Centre. The family-owned company was established in the early 1900s and makes a variety of footwear ranging from walking to football shoes. It has also developed an entirely new clothing line in vogue with all the latest athletic fashions. “I worked at an athletic shoe store for more than six years and New Balance approached me to open their store in Hawaii,” says Darin Hashimoto, general manager. “I really appreciate their values and their grassroots approach to business.” Call: 593-7773.

Alfred Dunhill has opened a new store at Ala Moana Center, carrying the full range of Alred Dunhill products, including select menswear, leather goods, shoes, timepieces and accessories. Aloha Tower Marketplace welcomes Remix by Trend Fusion, a trendy boutique featuring contemporary apparel for men and women.
