What is the secret ingredient that elevates Lanikai Juice above the rest? It’s the philosophy that founder Pablo Gonzalez calls the “Path of Integrity.”
Gonzalez was born in Argentina and raised in Spain. He learned the importance of hard work, ethics and a high standard for quality by watching and working alongside his entrepreneurial father, who cultivated his own vineyards and founded a winery and bottling facility. Before coming to Hawaii, Gonzalez was in the restaurant business in Barcelona, and being an advocate of using the freshest organic ingredients, he grew all the vegetables for the restaurants in his home garden.
When Gonzalez came to Hawaii and decided to open Lanikai Juice in 1997, he remained loyal to his principles of authentic flavors and only using the highest-quality ingredients to create a unique product that differed from other juice companies.
His products are made from the freshest organic and local produce available, not frozen and/or artificial products.
After 13 years in business, Lanikai Juice still prides itself on holding true to its original philosophy. The staff maintains its consistent quality by cutting and preparing the fruits themselves in its spotless state-of-the-art facility.
Gonzalez is training his staff to have nutrition certification, gives generously of his time and resources to nonprofit organizations and has developed the Lanikai Juice elementary schools education program.
A second location has opened across from Kahala Mall, and now plans are under way to add more locations, and franchise opportunities are available.
His slogan, “Fresh, Pure, Hawaiian,” says it all!
I would like to dedicate this column to Gonzalez for all his hard work and holding true to his beliefs.
This delicious holiday smoothie was created for MidWeek readers to enjoy courtesy of Gonzalez and the Lanikai Juice staff. Merry Christmas!
