WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!
CAESAR’S PALACE has unveiled a wax statue of Celine Dion, which is the first work from the Grevin Wax Museum of Paris displayed in America. Her likeness is wearing the dress from the 1998 Academy Awards performance when she sang My Heart Will Go On. Fans can take their picture with the statue - proceeds go to the Celine Dion Foundation.
SEEMS LIKE every week there’s another museum in Vegas ... now they’re considering converting a historic downtown building into a museum that pays homage to vintage Vegas between 1930 and 1950, including a Mafia museum, a behind-the-scenes look at gambling, a magic museum, and space dedicated to Vegas icons like Elvis and Frank Sinatra.
THE BOARDWALK Hotel & Casino is now a thing of the past. After 38 years they blew up the 16-story hotel-casino to make way for MGM Mirage’s latest project - the $5 billion City Center, expected to open in 2010. Visit www.KimosVegas.com to see the video of the implosion.

CHANGES in store for the New Las Vegas Marathon ... organizers are hoping that pre-dawn fireworks to kick off the run, a reality-based TV show, a half marathon and offering runners the ability to choose to run as show-girls will boost the run’s attendance. Maybe they should talk with Honolulu Marathon race guru Jim Barahal instead.
No mokes allowed
