A QUICK look from any Strip hotel room confirms that the city’s official bird is the (building) crane. The newest project on the horizon is “The Great Mall of Las Vegas.” The $750 million project includes two 2,000-foot tall buildings (with 50 condos), a 15,000-square-foot enclosed park with fountains, a mini-conservatory, office space and a three-level shopping mall with 40 restaurants and 250 stores. They are expecting about 20,000 shoppers per day. Shopaholics have plenty of time to save for the grand opening - the mall is expected to be completed by 2010.

A COUPLE is suing Caesar’s Palace for negligence and emotional duress because their 10-year-old daughter found a used condom between the sheets and put it in her mouth. Isn’t she a little old (and young) to be doing that? Same lawsuit happened a few years ago at the Rio.
