WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!
DAVID LETTERMAN sent a crew to Las Vegas to shoot a segment on the Playboy Club. Palms owner George Maloof will give us a personal tour of Hugh Hefner’s skyvilla ... just in case you have an extra $40,000 to spend for an overnighter. Take your own private animated tour of the suite at www.KimosVegas.com.
Playboy Bunnies
ON THE LATE night TV show they’ll feature the club’s dealers and cocktail servers who work clad in the famous cotton-tailed costume. Did you know that the Bunnies have a Bunny Mother? She makes sure the guys in the club don’t get outta line (no doubt a full-time job). Now you can meet your favorite Playmate (the magazine’s centerfold) in person on the second Sunday of each month when the club hosts a party in her honor.
Paris went shopping at the Playboy Club store
PARIS HILTON was spotted at the Playboy Club store escorted by George Maloof. He told her to “get whatever you want and something for Nicky.” She chose black Bunny ears, three Bunny necklaces, a Bunny belly ring and two $50,000 diamond-studded watches ... now that’s what I call a comp!
Phil Ivey wins even when he loses
AT THE Venetian’s new poker room, Phil Ivey was down $500,000. Looking to change his luck, he took a break and went to TAO, where they comped him $10,000 in champagne ... now I know how much bubbly it takes to forget you’ve lost 500 large!
SPEAKING OF comps, congrats to Ryan Kaleo, who won a trip for two to renew his vows at the Monte Carlo, including their Chantilly wedding package, from Oceanic Time Warner and Kimo’s Vegas!
STILL A LOT of confusion about the new Internet gaming law, but the owners of PartyPoker will stop accepting funds from residents of the U.S. What kinda $$$ are they passing on? According to their latest financials, they did $2.7 million a day net, and $1.9 mill came from American players ... remember, that’s per day!
ANY EXCUSE ... many folks are remodeling or building a new home - good reason to check out the fifth annual fall Las Vegas Home Improvement & Decorating Show. The show has ideas and products for almost every type of home improvement and decorating need. Check it out this weekend at Cashman Center.
$1.06 BILLION - that’s how much moolah the Nevada Gaming Commission says the state earned in August. Gaming revenue was up 14 percent on the Strip, but down about the same amount downtown. Does that mean we “broke even more”?
GET MORE Kimo’s Vegas at www.KimosVegas.com, in both issues of “MidWeek,” in Oceanic Time Warner’s “Around Hawaii,” on OC16 Monday at 9 p.m., on The New ESPN 1420 Thursday night at 7, and with Billy V. Friday morning at 7:20 on Hawaiian105 KINE.
