Monty Python's SPAMALOT at Wynn Las Vegas
WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!
Britney Spears may be making big bucks
with a gig at the Palms
THE TABLOIDS are reporting that Britney Spears was offered a 20-week, $15 million gig to perform at the Palms. That should help her child custody case - the closest her ex has ever been to that kind of cash was on his wedding day.
SHE PLAYS like Bill Gates ... after her sold-out show at the MGM Grand Arena where tickets sold for up to $1,000 each (before scalpers), Barbra Streisand was seen playing blackjack for several hours. Her average bet was just three red chips ($15) - when you’re rich and famous, they’ll let you play for any stakes in the high-roller salon. By the way, no truth to the rumor that her dog was helping her count cards.
High-roller Alex Rodriguez
MEANWHILE, at the Bellagio in the Club Privé high roller lounge, the $29 million man, Yankee Alex Rodriguez, played for considerably higher stakes.
CHECK OUT the new version of craps at the Luxor; it’s called “Die Rich.” The name is a play on words because unlike the traditional game, this version uses only one die! For the complete rules and game odds, visit www.KimosVegas.com.
A BENTLEY, a horse, a wedding and a soap opera audition are a few of the things that American Express has acquired for holders of its ultra-exclusive CenturionTM card. The annual fee is $2,500, and you get automatic airline upgrades and help for any of life’s little dilemmas - like getting sand from the Dead Sea for your kid’s school project, or tickets to the sold-out Barbra Streisand concert. The black status card is by invitation only.
NOW THE KING of all plastic, the Platinum and Centurion Amex cards have a new rewards program where you can use your points to buy things like a Steinway grand piano (7 million points) or the most expensive reward, a Chopard 18K white gold and diamond watch (93.2 million points) ... think I’m 100 million points short for that one.
KIMO’S VEGAS TIP: Bring a new, unwrapped toy and get into Tryst the nightclub in the Wynn Las Vegas free. The toy drive is a benefit for the After School All-Stars, a program for at-risk kids, and it’s happening every Thursday in December through Dec. 21. Get more Vegas tips at www.KimosVegas.com.
YOU KNOW you’re popular when ... Legoland, the California theme park, plans to add you to Miniland. Lego Vegas will be constructed from thousands of plastic bricks, and will feature a 20-foot-tall Stratosphere tower, and all your favorite hotels complete with the lights and signs the Strip is famous for. The largest expansion in Miniland’s history will be unveiled in spring, and if it’s true to its big brother, they’ll have to rebuild every year or so.
