VEGAS HOMETOWN girl and poker pro Evelyn Ng was in a charity poker tournament with the second-richest man in the U.S., Warren Buffett. The billionaire best friend of Bill Gates and avid bridge player was knocked out in less than 45 minutes. He said, “I thought the low score won!” The field of 50 amateur, celebrity and professional players got together to raise funds for the Nebraska Make-a-Wish program. The winner, an Omaha amateur, won a $3,500 watch that was featured in the new James Bond movie Casino Royale.
HAWAIIAN 105 KINE DJ Uncle Sam (Kapu), who used to be the opening act for Don Ho, said that one time in Vegas he saw a blonde putting coin after coin into the Coke machine, then pressed the button to get soda after soda. Running out of change, she ran away, only to return with more coins, continuing to pump the machine and press the button, popping out more sodas. He walked up to her and asked if he could use the machine ... the blonde spun around and shouted in his face: “Can’t you see I’m winning?”
