LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ... ELVIS has bought the building! The bidding for the Riviera Hotel & Casino continues, and the current high bid belongs to FX Luxury Realty. The company that dropped $100 million for 50 percent of FX is CKX, which owns the exclusive licensing rights to the Elvis Presley brand. FX also owns 50 percent (and is buying the other half) of the 18 acres under the Harley Davidson Café.

AVAILABLE FOR one day only ... making this almost as rare as me hitting a jackpot! The Trip Sevens cocktail is being served at the Boa Steakhouse in the Forum Shops at Caesars on 7/7/07. It’s made with Baker’s Bourbon, Pama Pomegranate Liquor, fresh lemon sour, vanilla-infused maple syrup, Peychauds bitters and Campari.

THE WORLD SERIES of Poker’s $1,500 No Limit Tournament set the record for the most players at 2,999. Second only to the World Series itself, Ciarin O’Leary won the gold bracelet and $727,012 in prize money. Local boys Gordon Hopkins finished 66th and Frederick Brenner of Kapolei at 70th - both came home with a $9,412 payday. John Hausler of Ewa Beach finished at 165 and more than doubled his buy-in, winning $4,297.

THEN AT THE inaugural All-Japan Poker Championship, Kunihiro Sakamoto beat a field of 2,000 players to win the official satellite of the World Series of Poker. He’ll represent the Land of the Rising Sun in the main event at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in July.

THE BELLAGIO conservatory’s new display features a 42-foot Ferris wheel, floating cold-air balloons and a 1962 convertible on loan from the National Corvette Museum.

HOW LUCKY can you be ...? Carmen Navarro hit two progressive jackpots on the same machine in one month! She said, “I knew this was a lucky machine because I already won big, and I was shocked when I won again on the same machine!” Her two jackpots totaled more than $109,000.

CONGRATS TO Blaine Davis from Lihue. He won $13,695 playing KENO at the Cal; and musubis are on Jean Pang of Pearl City, who hit the Cal’s slots for $20,000! See more winners at www.KimosVegas.com.

THERE’S A NEW law in the entertainment capital ... bands or groups with less than one original band member must call themselves a tribute act. So a group can’t be the Supremes if Diana Ross, Mary Wilson or Flo Ballard isn’t on stage. In the past, bands like The Platters and The Drifters could be found on several marquees at the same time.

CALIFORNIA IS Las Vegas’ biggest feeder state (even bigger than Hawaii), but all that may change if lawmakers combine their already extensive California State Lottery with slot machines. Experts predict that the state’s lotto will triple in revenue to $12 billion a year. The Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is also looking into privatizing the lottery, a first for any state.
