LINDSAY LOHAN, in an epiphany of sobriety, has decided to pass as the resident New Year’s Eve celeb at club LAX. Paris Hilton will replace Lilo as hostess for the “s novim godom”(Happy New Year in Russian) festivities. Her pay for the day is a cool $1 million (not bad for a trust fund baby). Seven-digit paydays are not unusual for Conrad Hilton’s great-granddaughter. Designer Kira Plastinina recently paid her $2 million just to sit in the front row of her fashion show in Russia.

WHEN THE PALAZZO opens next month, it’ll give birth to a new kind of caf, SHUSHISAMBA. Paying homage to the thousands of Japanese emigrants who traveled to South America in the early 20th century, it features a blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian music, design and cuisine including moquecas, seviche, miso soup, sashimi and samba meat.

THE HOUSE OF BLUES TATTOO ... Starlight Tattoo and the House of Blues is the first-ever music venue, tattoo shop marriage.
