IN ALL OF THE United States you’ll find only five three-star eateries, according to the Michelin Guide to exceptional restaurants. Three in New York City, one in San Francisco and the latest winner, Joel Robuchon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The 100-year-old guide’s highest rating is defined as “exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey.” If you can’t get a reservation at the best, try one of the three two-star brasseries Alex, Guy Savoy or Picasso.
WHAT’S THE PENALTY for driving your car into a crowd on the Las Vegas Strip? Well, if you’re Stephen M. Ressa, life in prison without parole. He drove his car onto the sidewalk in front of Paris and Bally’s, killing three and injuring 11.
HOT OR NOT ... Paris Hilton is suing Hallmark Cards Inc. for trademark infringement,saying they used her image and trademark without her permission (and, more importantly, without paying for it). The card featured an image of the celebutant and her trademarked slogan “That’s Hot!”

FIRST IT WAS toys and now it’s ... poker chips.An independent lab has discovered that chips manufactured by Paulson contain high levels of lead.Some samples exceeded the federal limits by more than 160 times with a lead content level of 45 percent, and these chips are found in 75 percent of all casinos. All the more reason to wash your hands after playing (especially before eating) and locking your chip collection away from the keiki.
