THE ZAGAT GUIDE just released the results of its 2007 U.S. airline survey that’s based on input from 7,498 frequent flyers and travel professionals. A huge Kimo’s Vegas congrats to the folks at Hawaiian Airlines for placing third overall in the premium class (behind Virgin American and Continental) and fifth overall in economy class (behind Midwest, Virgin Atlantic, JetBlue and Frontier airlines). AT THE GAMING EXPO G2E last week, former U.S. Sen. Alfonse D’Amato (chairman of the Poker Players Alliance) said he believes that the legalization of online poker in the United States will happen in the next 18 months. Wishful thinking ... I guess we’ll all know in a year and a half or so.

HOLIDAY OMIYAGE ... The Cupcakery’s holiday dozen features an assortment of specially flavored and decorated premium cupcakes including “Peppermint Bliss,” a chocolate cupcake with hot pink peppermint icing, and “Sugar & Spice Man,” a gingerbread cake with cream cheese frosting and a miniature gingerbread man cookie on top. The biggest challenge will be getting them all home uneaten.
