ACTOR NICOLAS CAGE has sold one of his estates to one of the guys whose name you see on all those Vegas gas stations: Jerry “Terrible Herbst” paid $35 million for the Newport Beach house. The sale set a record as the single-most-expensive residential sale in the country. The $10 million in profit was not the primary motivation for the sale ... in October, Cage came home to find a naked guy in his kitchen.
ONE OF THE newest innovations on the Vegas scene is the Sports Book kiosk. Picture a machine that allows you to wager on your favorite sporting event or team without visiting the casino sports book. Now in limited tests, smaller casinos, gas stations, convenience stores and bar owners can’t wait to install the new ATM-like machines.
