SOLE COLLECTORS are usually guys who collect athletic shoes, and one of the hobby’s most-anticipated releases is this year’s Air Jordan XX3. What makes these puppies so special is that Nike and Michael Jordan reinvented the modern-day sneaker 23 years ago (it’s now a $33 billion industry). Collectors are especially in a frenzy over these Air Jordans because they may be retired just like the jump man’s jersey number.
