WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!

LAS VEGAS SPORTS BOOKS can only take bets on sporting events ... but for fun they often list the line on things like Celebrity Apprentice. Trace Adkins is favored to win by 3:1. On Dancing with the Stars, Kristi Yamaguchi is favored by 4:1, then Cristian De La Fuenta at 5:1 and Priscilla Presley at 6:1. Who is the odds - makers’ pick to win American Idol? David Archuleta is No. 1 at 4:1 (well, even the bookies don’t get it right all the time).

“GAMBLING IS WORSE than crack.” So alleges Arelia Margarita Taveras, an Atlantic City attorney who said she would go days at a time at the tables. In addition to losing almost $1 million, her practice, her apartment and her parents’ home, she is suing seven casinos (including one in Vegas) for $20 million, claiming they had a duty to recognize her compulsive gambling and cut her off ... we’ll all be anxious to know if that one works!

L.A. SUNSET TAN opens shop inside Palms Place. The tanning salon, made famous on E!, has an A-list clientele of Hollywood celebs including Jessica Alba, Lindsey Lohan and the Hilton sisters.

SPEAKING OF LiLo, this summer watch for Living Lohan, the reality show that stars her mom, Dina. Her siblings Ali (14), Cody (11) and Michael (20) join the fun as they move their dysfunctional but entertaining lives to Las Vegas (for the cameras).

IT’S ALWAYS GREAT when locals win big, like Leonette Tilton of Honolulu, who won $14,000, and Edward Ki of Honolulu, who won $20,000 playing video poker at the Cal. Then there was Dennis Oshiro from Pearl City, who put a $100 bill into the video poker machine at the Fremont, got the Royal Flush in Diamonds on his first draw and came home with $20,000!

MAY DAY is Lei Day in Las Vegas, and you can “Get Your Vegas On” and join the celebration for free ... Hawaiian105 KINE and Vacations Hawaii are giving away a trip for two every weekday. To win, listen to Billy V. at 7 a.m.

EVER HEAR of the infinite $100 bill? A team of casino cheats took a casino for $1.2 million when they figured out that the new $100 bill would give them $100 in credits and return the $100 bill when a button on the machine was pressed at the right time. Read about that, the video poker machine that would deal an automatic Royal Flush after a series of bets and more at www.KimosVegas.com.

SPOTTED IN VEGAS ... local magic man Mike Ching - you could say he’s got a few more tricks up his sleeve after attending the exclusive “Magic & Mystery, Master Class.” OK, Mike, just tell us how they do those street levi-tations ...

ALSO SPOTTED in Vegas ... Summer Glau from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. She was the celebrity hostess for a bash at TAO in Caesars Palace.

STILL PLENTY huhu over the IRS’s raid of Pure management’s office and interviewing employees ... There’s a story in the Las Vegas Sun about a local who felt tipping in the clubs was more like extortion - he had to pay for everything except the napkins. Then there was the firefighter who stepped outside from the wedding party to smoke but couldn’t get back in unless he tipped the doorman. When he refused, security broke his leg ... I thought they only did that when you owed them money!
