WELCOME TO Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!
ROBERT DeNIRO played Sam “Ace” Rothstein in Casino, a movie that was loosely based on the real-life exploits of Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal. He was even more powerful than this Hollywood portrayal - running four casinos simultaneously (the Stardust, Fremont, Hacienda and Marina), he introduced Vegas to the sportsbook at the Stardust, was the first to hire women as blackjack dealers, discovered Siegfried & Roy and implemented many other gaming innovations. Permanently banned from the casinos for his involvement with the mob, many believed he often cruised through the Stardust (in disguise) until the day it closed. Frank Rosenthal left the building last week, but will be forever immortalized when the Mob Museum opens in 2010.
JENNIFER LOPEZ and husband Marc Anthony renewed their vows in their penthouse suite at Caesars Palace after picking up a check (for) partying at Pure.

The man whose signature is the hotel’s logo said, “Our brand is too important, and this place will be here forever. We don’t drop the price and we don’t drop the quality of service - I don’t bounce around like a pinball. And we don’t need to. Our revenues may take a hit, but we’re in a position of strength, with plenty of cash. We’re a battleship steaming into the harbor.” The company reported debt of $4.9 billion with $1.7 billion in cash. The opening of Encore is on for Dec. 22 pending regulatory approvals, but right now they are only accepting reservations beginning Jan. 4. And those dates are going for $349-plus per night.
