STEVE WYNN’S $2 million bet ... In addition to the $2.3 billion he’s got invested in his latest hotel, Wynn gave each one of the 1,500 VIPs on hand for Encore’s grand opening their first bet, between $1,000 and $50,000. The only catch: The entire amount had to be used on one bet, and the high rollers got to keep their winnings.
AT ENCORE there’s a new restaurant called Switch, where the walls and ceiling change completely every 20 minutes or so.

The median price of all houses, condos and townhouses being sold in Southern Nevada declined by 32 percent, but sales were up 125.5 percent for homes and 142 percent for condominiums and town-homes.
