WE SAY SHIBAI, but on Wall Street it’s called “goodwill” ... Whatever you call it, Harrah’s wrote down $5.49 billion of it last week (now that’s a lotta kukai). The world’s other casino giant, MGM Mirage, is rumored to be selling some of its properties and giving up equity to refinance its debt. I guess the gambling is not just happening on the player’s side of the table.
