WELCOME TO Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!
DURING HIS VISIT last week for Sen. Harry Reid’s fundraiser, President Barack Obama said, “It is good to be back in Vegas. I was telling people, I am back in Caesars. That was the hotel where we stayed when we were campaigning here in Nevada. I thought I had a pretty nice room. But now that I’m president, they upgraded me. I got the upgrade, and it’s a really nice room now.” I wonder if they’ll rename the 22,000-square-foot room with a private patio and pool “The Presidential Suite” - because, as of now, there’s no such room in all the empire.
THE PRESIDENT’S SOUVENIRS: Bette Midler gave him an ukulele for his daughters Sasha and Malia, and World Series of Poker commissioner Jeffrey Pollack gave the president (an avid poker player) a WSOP jacket embroidered with his name.
BETTE MIDLER celebrated her 100th performance of The Showgirl Must Go On June 7 at the Caesars Palace Colosseum. To commemorate this milestone, the Radford grad promised to debut some new, never-before-seen stuff starting with this performance. To help celebrate her success, Serendipity restaurant offers the special Divine Miss M Sundae all month long.

AT LAST WEEK’S World Series of Poker: $1,000 buy-in No-Limit, Hold’em had 2,998 players entered in the event, the biggest field ever for a non-main event. The WSOP’s big show starts July 7 and like last year, we’ll have to wait until Nov. 7 for the final table to begin.
TO RAISE MONEY for United Way, the Sapphire Girls at the Rio’s pool washed cars in their official uniforms (bikinis), and raised more than $1,700 for the Southern Nevada charity.
WHAT ARE THE ODDS? The Wizard of Odds Michael Shackleford computes Patricia Demauro’s 154-roll run at the Borgata in Atlantic City to be 1.3975x 0.8627732154, which equals 1 in 5.3 billion. That’s equal to a 95.6 percent free-throw shooter making 500 baskets in a row.
THERE ARE 84 WAYS to set a pair of dice ... After an exhaustive analysis, “The Wizard” says we only need to know two sets. Get his recommended dice sets at www.KimosVegas.com.
AT THE FREMONT, locals win big ... Goldie Asuncion of Waipahu and Nalinrat Chin of Honolulu won $10,000, and Kenneth Amado from Wahiawa drew five aces on the Pai Gow table to win $22,611!
THE LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL asked a bunch of comedians for their favorite Vegas jokes ... George Wallace’s (Flamingo headliner) fave is: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. And if you don’t believe me just ask O.J. Simpson!” Get the link for more at www.KimosVegas.com.
