BAD NEWS for the folks who own casinos: For the 15th month in a row, the number of visitors to Vegas was down. Good news for the folks who like to visit casinos: Great deals on rooms, at restaurants and other enticements continue.
“IT’S THE MOST wonderful time of the year ...” That’s what some are saying about the clever play on words of the MGM Grand’s $75,000 Salem’s Slots Tournament on Oct. 26 and 27.
PRIVE GETS a reprieve ... The Planet Hollywood nightclub (that gave the resort the “P-Ho” nickname) got a 90-day temporary license while Metro does a background check on the new owners after the old owners failed to “abide by the duties of a liquor licensee.” Earlier this year, the casino received a $500,000 fine because the club allowed topless and lewd activity.
