THE LAS VEGAS Convention and Visitors Authority says 2,877,716 people visited Las Vegas in January, up 4 percent from the same month last year. That makes it five months in a row of year-over-year increases. To get there, average daily room rates dropped from $104.89 a year ago to $99.75.
