A LOT of people have been asking me about Internet gambling. The bottom line is Internet gambling is illegal in the United States (that’s why every Internet casino is in a foreign country). In addition to violating federal laws, you’ll also violate several state laws once you start playing for money (and if you work for the fed or state government, they don’t like it when you do that). “If it’s against the law, how come we see so many commercials on television?” Most radio and TV stations don’t accept Internet gambling advertising because it’s a gray area and they are licensed by the federal government. Cable companies have different regulations, so the commercials you see are usually on cable TV. We all know someone who plays on the Internet, but the problems arise when you win - how do you cash the check?
