AS MANY of you know, the biggest single day in Vegas is the day of the Super Bowl. The second day that makes casino execs happier than a pig in his pen is a close race between New Year’s and Chinese New Year ... business is so good they are predicting 100 percent occupancy for the next two weeks! To welcome the Year of the Dog (and Asian gamblers) the MGM imported Chinese singer Paula Tsui ... the Venetian has a dragon dance with fireworks, Caesar’s Palace execs will paint the lion’s eye in front of the property, and the Wynn Las Vegas is hosting a private gala with a dragon dance for 1,400 VIPs.
SPEAKING OF the Super Bowl, the majority of Pennsylvanians will bet on the Steelers, and the same is true for Washingtonians and the Seahawks, but where does the money play in the other states? Michigan, Texas, Florida, California, North Carolina and Colorado are Steelers country and Ohio, Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, New York and parts of Kakaako are betting on the Seahawks.
WITH VALENTINE’S Day around the corner, the spas in Vegas are all trying to out-chocolate each other. Or perhaps the Chocolate Fantasy Manicure and Pedicure is more your desire ... a chocolate-mint hand-and-foot bath, followed by a sweet-sugar scrub with a touch of mint and a decadent deep-chocolate hydrating mask for the hands and feet finished with an cocoa butter massage and a Valentine polish or buff. Champagne included; whipped cream and cherries optional - $330 for two.

FEELIN’ LIKE a million bucks. That’s three generations of Akanas - Russell, Kip and Clifford - in front of the old Million Dollar display at the Horseshoe. That’s 100 $10,000 gold notes. Thousands of people took their picture in front of the display. The most infamous was Charles Manson (to this day the FBI has the only copy of that picture).
$80 MILLION that was the price paid in a Vegas courtroom for the Sapphire Gentleman’s Club. At that price, the 6.2 acres of land has to be more valuable than the 4 million lap dances it would cost to repay the loan.
