Reverential Fear of God?

What an absolutely horrible way to live your life.

How can fear possibly be reverential? Why would you even HAVE a god (note the reference to “MY God”) that you are afraid of? If anything, I’d be afraid of someone else’s god who might decide to take action against me.

Any God that requires, or elicits, fear of any kind, reverential or otherwise, is certainly not a God of Love.
