John Zablan has been promoted to account executive for the Harris Agency. He will be responsible for one of the major accounts.
Stephanie Kim has been appointed director of government relations for the UH System. Kim has served as the acting director since January 2006 and prior to that was the university’s government relations state liaison for six years.
Barry Wallace has been named chairman for the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association Board of Directors for 2007-2008. Wallace is the executive vice president of hospitality services for the Outrigger Enterprises Group.
Danny Ojiri has been named vice president of Japan sales for Outrigger Enterprises Group. He joined Outrigger in 1998 as director of Japan sales. His career history includes 20 years with Jetour Hawaii.
William Bethel has been named director of Japan sales for the Outrigger Enterprises Group. His career path includes working as a tour coordinator for JTB Hawaii, Japanese sales manager for Prince Resorts Hawaii, and hotel assistant manager for Hawaii Prince Hotel.
Harry Byerly has been named chairman of the executive board of the Better Business Bureau for 2007-2008. He is with Hawaii Pacific University.
Kimiko Quan has been named Japan sales manager for Outrigger Enterprises Group. Quan’s past employment includes working as a front service clerk at the Righa Royal Hotel in Fukuoka, Japan, and working as a Japanese service coordinator for Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel.
Darryl Nitta has been promoted to tax supervisor for Accuity. He will be responsible for general tax compliance and consulting with a focus on corporations, partnerships and individuals. He joined the company five years ago.
James Ota has been promoted to tax supervisor for Accuity. He will oversee other professionals in preparing federal tax opinions, conducting research and development tax credit studies, and engaging in audit defense assignments. Ota joined the firm four years ago.
Dee Oswald has joined Kiewit Building Group as project executive. Oswald has 10 years of solid project management and leadership experience within the Kiewit organization. She served previously for eight years as a project manager in the company’s office in Omaha, Neb.
Shawn Hasegawa has been promoted from manager to senior manager for Matsuno, Fukuya and Company.
