William Farnsworth Jr. has been promoted to vice president of finance for Aqua Hotels & Resorts. Formerly Aqua’s director of finance, he will now oversee and direct the company’s financial and accounting activities. Farnsworth has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Laurene Chun has been named director of nursing for long-term care for Kuakini Health System. Chun will be responsible for managing Kuakini Geriatric Care Inc.‘s Intermediate and Skilled Nursing facility. She has more than 17 years of nursing management experience.
Jodi Lam has been promoted to vice president, wealth adviser for Morgan Stanley’s Global Wealth Management Group office in Honolulu. Lam has been with Morgan Stanley for nine years.
Russell Lundberg has been appointed to the state’s Wireless Enhanced 911 board for 2008. Lundberg is director of information technology for Mobi PCS. As a member of the Enhanced 911 board, he will help manage the funding for the implementation of wireless enhanced 911 service in Hawaii.
Stefan Arai has been named culinary partner for the P.F. Chang’s Hokua restaurant. Arai began his culinary career in 1996 and has worked as a sous chef for Roy’s Restaurant, as well as the P.F. Chang’s Hokua location.
Ed Locke has been hired as operating partner for the second P.F. Chang’s restaurant slated to open at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center this spring. He will be responsible for day-to-day operations, customer service, hiring and training for the restaurant. He previously served as manager at Hard Rock Cafe on Maui.
Larkspur Sanchez has been appointed culinary partner of the second P.F. Chang’s restaurant scheduled to open this spring. He works as a culinary partner for P.F. Chang’s at the Hokua luxury condo in Honolulu. He will oversee all kitchen staff and will be responsible for product quality and purchasing, among others.
Courtney Watson has been named account director for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Waikiki. Watson has much experience in the hospitality industry, getting her start in Michigan as an operations manager for small business hotels. She joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts Waikiki in 2006 as sales manager.
Katherine Katsuda has been hired as human resources assistant for Hawaiian Host Inc. In this position, Katsuda will provide administrative support to the human resources director. She also will be responsible for updating and maintaining employee records and will assist in the hiring process.
