Gary Fujitani has been appointed executive director of the Hawaii Bankers Association (HBA). As executive director, he will be the spokes-person for the Hawaii banking industry and an advocate for the state’s economic vitality and sustainability. Fujitani has more than 35 years of Hawaii banking experience.
Anthony Takitani has been named chairman of the board of directors for Hawaiian Host Inc. In addition to being chairman, Takitani also will continue to serve as a personal injury attorney and senior partner for Takitani & Agaran Law Corporations in Wailuku and Lahaina, Maui.
Matthew Papania has been named president of Oils of Aloha, Hawaii’s largest producer of kukui and macadamia nut oils. Papania has been with the company since 1991 and served as a production manager. As president, he will oversee the day-to-day operations, facilities and human resources, and serves on the executive team.
Kahi Pacarro has been promoted to acquisitions manager for Intracorp, developers of the Watermark Waikiki condominium. Pacarro has been with Intracorp since 2003, and will now be responsible for the acquisition, predevelopment and ongoing development aspects of all Intracorp Hawaii projects.
Cathy Yoshida has been named vice president of client services for MontPac Outsourcing. In her new position, Yoshida’s responsibilities will include business development and integrating new clients into the company’s outsourcing system. She has more than nine years of accounting and auditing experience.
Rafael Baezhas been hired as executive vice president for Intracorp, developer of The Watermark Waikiki condominium. Baez will be responsible for the current endeavors of Intracorp, including the developer’s flagship luxury condominium project in Hawaii. He was the former vice president and district manager for Crescent Heights.
Jon Whittington has been hired as executive vice president-retail division manager for Central Pacific HomeLoans. With more than 15 years of experience in Hawaii mortgage banking, he previously worked at Countrywide, most recently as senior vice president and regional manager.
Victoria Isagawa has been named administrative broker-in-charge for Abe Lee Realty. Isagawa has more than 20 years of experience in island real estate sales, property management and brokerage. Her new responsibilities include agent recruitment and additional sales. She most recently worked at Jeffrey Samuels Real Estate.
Tom Young has been promoted to principal for Group 70 International Inc. Young was previously an associate/project architect for the company. In his new position, with more than 20 years of architectural experience, he will help shape the firm’s overall strategic business plan while continuing to supervise projects.
