Barry O’Very has been named superintendent for WATTS Constructors. He recently served as superintendent with Bodell Construction Co. As a licensed contractor in Hawaii, Utah and Montana, O’Very has 30 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
Jacqueline Lucas-Lara has been appointed human resources development manager for WATTS Constructors. In her new position, she will implement and manage company policies and procedures. Lucas-Lara is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Edward B. Chargualaf has been hired as senior project manager for WCIT Architecture. Chargualaf will be responsible for the overall direction of several of the firm’s projects, including managing consultants, coordination with various agencies and meeting clients’ needs and expectations. He spent the last four years in Colorado working for OZ Architecture, specializing in mountain resort and loft-style developments.
Grant Kubota has been promoted to second vice president - wealth management for Citi Smith Barney. In his new position, Kubota will be responsible for servicing individual and institutional clientele. He most recently practiced as a CPA with the firm KPMG LLP.
Petra Herzog has been named vice president of Account Services for Laird Christianson Advertising (LCA), a division of Anthology Marketing Group. Herzog joined the agency in 1999, and with 12 years of experience at LCA, she specializes in resort and residential properties.
Sachi Peterson has been hired as a previews team member for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties’Kahala office. Peterson has more than 18 years of experience in the real estate industry and was involved with several development projects, including the Manoa Hillside Estate and Nuuanu Parkside. In her new position, she will serve as a sales associate and will work toward earning the preview specialist designation.
Garett Kamemoto has been appointed senior account executive for Communications Pacific’s (CommPac) public relations practice. As a veteran journalist, Kamemoto most recently worked as assignment editor at KHNL News 8 and as a political reporter at KGMB before that.
David Quandt has been hired as executive vice president for Central Pacific HomeLoans. With 12 years of mortgage banking experience, Quandt spent the last nine years as regional vice president at Charter Funding and First Magnus in Hawaii. He also served as regional vice president for Prudential Real Estate affiliates and regional vice president for Century 21 of the Pacific.
Kathleen Pahinui has been appointed vice president of Account Services for Laird Christianson Advertising (LCA), a division of Anthology Marketing Group. She has been with LCA for the past seven years and has extensive experience in consumer and business-to-business marketing and brand development from both sides, the client and the agency.
Dennis Mahaffay has been promoted to vice president of broadcast for Laird Christianson Advertising (LCA), a division of Anthology Marketing Group. He brings 30 years of experience and creativity to the team and will lead the production team, manage creative concepts and scripts and coordinate with broadcast and online video projects.
