Jennie Sekimoto has joined the management team of Tanaka of Tokyo Restaurants. She will be responsible for operations and administrative duties at Tanaka of Tokyo Central in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. Sekimoto has extensive knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry.
Romala Sue Scales-Radcliffe has joined Kahala Nui as education coordinator/ director of Kahala Nui University. She previously worked as research program coordinator for Barry University in Miami.
Duane Teruya has been appointed vice president of lending for Hawaii Schools Federal Credit Union. Teruya joins the credit union after serving as chief lending officer at another credit union. His background spans more than 20 years in financial services.
Vicente “Vic” Salas Angoco Jr. has been promoted to vice president and general manager from vice president of marketing and sales forf Young Brothers. Angoco joined the firm in 2004.
Elizabeth McLemore has been named associate optometrist for Ke Ala ‘Ike, Pathway to Vision. She previously worked as an optometrist at the Cataract and Vision Center.
Marina Britt has been named quality assurance supervisor for Hawaiian Host. She previously worked at Foremost Dairies.
Stacy Hamilton has been appointed assistant marketing manager for Hawaiian Host. She has more than a decade of product management experience.
Sean Akio Kanda has been named warehouse delivery lead for Hawaiian Host. He previously was an information systems and room service intern at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hawaii Hotel.
Alan Suyama, M.D. has been named the Ke Kauka Pookela 2005 Outstanding Physician of the Year for the Queen’s Medical Center.
Tanya J. Schwartz has been named president of the board of directors for the 2005 Hawaii Psychological Association. She is a staff psychologist at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific. She also has a private practice specializing in adult neuropsychological assessment.
