CharlAnn Nakamoto has been appointed human resources manager for City Mill Company Ltd. Nakamoto previously worked for NCL America, the Maui Prince Hotel-Makena Resort, Renaissance and Westin Hotels.
Stephanie Nicholson has been named merchant for City Mill Company Ltd. Nicholson has experience in merchandising previously holding positions at Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn Teen and Macy’s.
Lloyd I. Unebasami has been named interim president and CEO for the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) board of directors. Unebasami has close to 15 years of experience working in the private sector, holding senior positions for major Hawaii corporations like Dillingham Land Corporation and Ala Moana City Corporation. In his new position, he will oversee day-to-day operations of the agency, among other duties.
Darren J. Edmonstone has been named senior vice president-Asia for Outrigger Enterprises Group. In this new position, Edmonstone will lead Outrigger’s expansion into Asia and oversee the company’s newly established Asia regional office in Phuket, Thailand. He has extensive experience working in the Asian market, previously holding a number of senior management positions in Vietnam and Thailand.
Patrick Hagen has been hired as marketing coordinator for Entrust Hawaii. Hagen’s responsibilities include teaching continuing education classes for real estate and financial professionals and anyone interested in investing outside the stock market. He has a background in banking and finance.
Ross Sasamura has been appointed director of operations for Heide & Cook Ltd., a full-service mechanical contractor and air conditioning service company. His responsibilities include overseeing and managing the daily operations of the company’s Construction Operations Division. Sasamura previously served as a senior associate trainer for Pacific Training and Development.
Dr. Joseph Zobian has been named chief surgical officer of Hawaii Medical Center West. Zobian brings more than 14 years of ophthalmology surgical experience with him and also currently operates his own private practice in Waipahu. He is a former U.S. Peace Corps volunteer and an active mission surgeon for the Philippines.
Shelley B. Thompson has been re-elected to a third one-year term as chairwoman of the board for Hawaii Theatre Centre, a private nonprofit organization to restore and operate the historic theatre as a multipurpose performance facility. Thompson also currently serves as vice chairwoman for Bank of Hawaii.
Linda McGrath has been hired as sales and marketing director for Ilima at Leihano. She comes to Ilima with more than 20 years’ experience. She previously worked for United Healthcare’s Evercare Medicare Advantage insurance program for seniors in San Diego.
