Regina Meredith has joined the Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC) board of directors, filling the American Samoa on-island seat. Meredith has been an art professor at American Samoa Community College in American Samoa and also has served as an educator for the University of Hawaii’s College of Education Samoa project for 10 years.
Bree Dallwitz has been named account supervisor for Communications Pacific. Dallwitz joined CommPac from Melbourne, Australia, bringing nearly 10 years of public relations experience with Australian and international accounts in the Asia-Pacific region.
Kevin Harris has been appointed vice president of the Pacific Islanders in Communications board of directors. Harris has more than 24 years of experience in public television, previously creating program schedules for 15 public television stations around the country through his consulting firm, The Kevin Harris Group.
Mark B. Dunkerley of Hawaiian Airlines has been named salesperson of the year by Sales and Marketing Executives International of Honolulu. Dunkerley serves as president and chief executive officer for Hawaiian Airlines and also is the incoming chairman of the board of directors for the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau. He is currently a director on boards of the Hawaii Business Roundtable and the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii.
Elliot Domalewski has been appointed sales associate for Avalon Realty LLC. Domalewski attended the Chicago Association of Realtors School and Columbia College Theatre program, and has worked in several real estate sales offices in Chicago.
Paul Kennedy has been hired as bond manager for King & Neel Inc. Kennedy brings more than 15 years of national and international surety bond experience. In this position, he will be responsible for fulfilling clients’ business needs as well as overseeing surety market management. Kennedy previously worked at Chubb Corporation, a property and casualty insurer.
Wayne M. Hashiro has been appointed manager and chief engineer for the Board of Water Supply (BWS). Hashiro will oversee the overall strategic direction and management of the BWS while focusing on furthering the department’s mission. He also serves as the city’s managing director and has previous experience as part of the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
Naoi Yuen has been appointed chief operating officer of The Cole Academy child development centers, as well as Hawaii Nautical, which operates diving, sailing and snorkeling yachts at Ko Olina. He is responsible for ensuring the customer-oriented mission is delivered unilaterally throughout all programs and services. He most recently was vice president of human resources for Easter Seals Hawaii for nine years.
