Sam Vaughs has been hired as associate business development manager - Oahu for ProService Hawaii. He previously served as marketing team leader with Wyndham Vacation Ownership. In his new position, Vaughs’ responsibilities include analyzing and advising local companies of the best course of action for outsourcing their human resource services.

Kenneth M. Sheffieldhas been promoted from assistant vice president to vice president and business development officer for Bank of Hawaii’s Trust and Private Client Services Division. Sheffield joined the division in 2007 as a wealth consultant, and had seven years of financial consulting experience prior to joining the bank.

Bob Pilahas been hired as staff appraiser for NorthStar Alliance Inc. Pila will be responsible for residential appraisals to support the NorthStar family of companies that helps guide borrowers through the residential mortgage loan process. He also will be an instructor at NorthStar University.

Robyn C. Tanaka has been named vice president and retail credit analytics and reporting manager for Bank of Hawaii’s Retail Credit Department. Tanaka will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the execution of analytics and reports for the bank’s mortgage, consumer and business banking credit portfolios. Prior to joining the bank, she was a vice president and business intelligence manager with American Savings Bank.

Ai Wah K. Ng has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president of Wholesale Credit at Bank of Hawaii. Ng has more than 18 years’ experience in lending. Her responsibilities include credit oversight for various markets, such as corporate, commercial real estate, auto dealers and private banking.

Janice Marsters has joined Engineering Solutions Inc., a small-business, woman-owned civil/environmental engineering firm. She has more than 20 years experience in engineering and environmental consulting and will head ESI’s environmental and sustainability design practice.

Christine A. Quemuel, director of the Women’s Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, was honored with the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Mid-level Student Affairs Professional Award. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the profession and have contributed to programs that address the needs of students, among others.

Cedric Yamanaka has been named director of corporate communications for The Queen’s Health System. Yamanaka previously held the position of vice president, manager, corporate communications for Central Pacific Bank.
