Savina Wendin has been named director of retail operation for Martin & MacArthur, which offers elegant home furnishings, selected art and hand-crafted gift items from local artisans. Wendin will oversee the management of Martin & MacArthur’s retail stores across the state and also will be responsible for the training and management of all retail associates.
Kip E. Jones was recently elected Hawaii Pacific University’s newest board member. Jones also serves as a principal and co-founder of Discovery Economics, where he provides consulting and expert witness testimony regarding economic, financial, accounting and other business issues.
Mike Biscotti was named general manager of Hoakalei Country Club. In this position, Biscotti will oversee all operations of the private country club. With 13 years of golf management experience as a general manager of four premier golf country clubs on the Mainland, Biscotti most recently served as general manager and chief operating officer at Prescott Lake Golf and Country Club in Arizona.
David W. Hudson has been hired as senior vice president and division manager - community banking for Central Pacific Bank. Prior to joining the bank, Hudson spent the last six years as senior vice president of the retail banking division at American Savings Bank. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry here in Hawaii and on the Mainland.
Dr. Bruce Stevenson has been elected to the Oceanic Institute Board of Trustees. Stevenson also is executive director and CEO of Pacific Health Research Institute, where he is responsible for strategic guidance and overall operation of the independent, nonprofit institution.
Eden-Lee Murray has been named education director for Hawaii Theatre Center. Murray also is a professional actor, director, educator and writer/editor, and since 1992 has created and run the Honolulu Waldorf Drama Club and directed four senior play productions for Waldorf’s high school.
