John J. Votsis has been appointed director of sales and marketing for Trump International Hotel & Tower Waikiki Beach Walk, scheduled to open later this year. He will be responsible for all sales and marketing efforts as well as public relations for the property. Votsis most recently served as vice president of sales for Aloha Airlines.
Lisa Gouveia has been hired as an account coordinator for PCF Virtual. In this position, Gouveia will work with the marketing agency’s numerous accounts, including shopping center clients, managing calendars and maintaining website updates. She previously worked as an intern account coordinator at Matsumoto & Clapperton.
Dr. Regina Pfeiffer, an assistant professor in religious studies and director of the Master of Arts in Pastoral Leadership and Pastoral Theology at Chaminade University, has been selected to attend a weeklong independent research program, Harris Manchester Summer Research Institute, this month in Oxford, England. The program is designed to allow visiting fellows the time and resources to complete an article, book or research paper in their field of study.
Catherine Koike has become co-owner of StayFIT Physical Therapy LLC, located in the Aiea Medical Building, specializing in the rehabilitation of spinal conditions and other orthopedic-type problems. A physical therapist, Koike received her doctorate in physical therapy from Boston University. She previously worked at the REHAB Hospital of the Pacific and had her own private practice.
Brad K. Gushiken has been promoted from vice president and corporate compliance officer to vice president and BSA and OFAC officer, Corporate Compliance Division for First Hawaiian Bank. Gushiken joined the bank in 2006 and also has a law degree from the University of Hawaii.
Ann E. Miller has been appointed executive director of Aloha Medical Mission for 2009. Miller previously worked for nonprofit organizations like Child and Family Service and Parents And Children Together.
