Cindy Sasaki has been appointed senior accountant for DTRIC Insurance Company. In this position, Sasaki will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of the company’s financial information. She most recently worked for Grant Thornton LLP as an assurance senior. Sasaki specializes in accounting and auditing.
Dawn Matsuyama Dunbar has been hired as executive director of After-School All-Stars Hawaii, a nonprofit launching comprehensive after-school programs in Hawaii’s middle schools this year. Dunbar oversees all aspects in starting up the organization and is responsible for the overall organizational management and leadership, fundraising, promotion of the organization within the community, and the development and monitoring of the Hawaii Chapter’s programs. She most recently directed the corporate communications efforts for American Savings Bank.
Scott Mackey has been named vice president and chief underwriting officer for DTRIC Insurance Company. Mackey has more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry and will oversee the personal and commercial under-writing divisions of the company. He also will be responsible for developing strategic direction objectives for profitable growth.
Emi Swaim has been appointed captive insurance manager for First Risk Management Services Inc., a subsidiary of First Insurance Company of Hawaii. Swaim previously served as vice president for Marsh Management Services Inc. In her new position, her duties include developing and implementing captive insurance programs for new clients and managing captive insurance companies in their daily operations, including accounting and regulatory compliance.
Richard Lorenzotti has been hired as technical services engineer for Heide & Cook Ltd. Lorenzotti brings 15 years of mechanical engineering and construction experience to the position. He is responsible for assisting new and existing clients with adding value to their air conditioning, fire sprinkler, plumbing, sheet metal and warehousing needs, while also promoting sustainable and energy efficient design projects.
