Joseph Laxamana has been named agent of the month in the Honolulu General Office of New York Life Insurance Company. Laxamana received the award in recognition of outstanding sales achievement and exemplary client service and professionalism. He is a graduate of Chaminade University with a bachelor’s degree in management.
Paul C. Kennedy has been promoted to assistant vice president for King & Neel Inc. In this position, Kennedy will continue to work with clients as the bond manager and has extensive experience as a surety manager. Prior to joining the agency, Kennedy served as regional surety manager and assistant vice president for Chubb Corporation in Minneapolis.
James Scott Guequierre has been hired as director of interior design and cultural adviser for Ferraro Choi and Associates Ltd. Guequierre has more than 30 years of experience serving as principal interior designer, space planner and managing director for some of the country’s leading architectural firms.
Stephanie McGuire has been appointed assistant vice president for King & Neel Inc. She has been with the company since 1999 when she joined the administrative department. She was previously a client service representative and account manager. McGuire will continue working with clients to help meet their insurance needs.
Nina LaMonte has been hired as director of marketing and advertising for Women In Need, a nonprofit organization committed to promoting the “Empowerment of Families at Risk.” She was previously the group publisher for the Hawaii region of Morris Visitor Publications. LaMonte has more than 20 years’experience in marketing and advertising.
Darrell Ames has been appointed public affairs officer for Joint Task Force - Homeland Defense at Fort Shafter. Ames spent 20 years serving as a public affairs professional for the U.S. Navy, retiring in 2006.
