Carol A. Marx has been promoted to senior vice president and residential lending sales manager in Bank of Hawaii’s Mortgage Banking division. In this position, Marx oversees the bank’s statewide residential mortgage loan sales team. She started her Hawaii banking career in 1988 with the former Pioneer Federal Savings Bank, serving as a branch manager, vice president and public relations manager. Marx was later hired by Bank of American Home Loans as sales manager and venture manager.
Faith Yamagishi has been named vice president of operations for Graham Builders. In this new position, Yamagishi will oversee the sales, design, estimating and construction departments and will work closely with clients from the beginning to the completion of their project. She has been with the local design and build company since 2003 and previously served as the CFO.
Kamu Anderson has been named to the board of directors for Nanakuli Housing Corporation. Anderson is a project executive at Kiewit Building Group and brings more than 13 years of industry experience to NHC. Most recently, he served as project manager for the Hale Koa renovation and superintendent on the construction of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands’Kapolei development.
Conrad Hewitt, former chief accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, has been elected to serve as a board member on the Hawaii Pacific University Board of Trustees. Hewitt was the chief accountant for the SEC from 2006 to 2009, where he was the principal adviser to the commission on accounting and auditing matters.
Lincoln Jacobe has been appointed to Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center board of directors. Jacobe founded Hawaii Pacific Entertainment in 1996 and oversees marketing, business development, government and media relations, and strategic planning.
