Johnny Wu has been promoted from project architect to associate for Design Partners Inc. His responsibilities include leading his design team in client services and overseeing various mid- to large-scale projects. Wu joined the firm in 1999 as an intern architect and was promoted to project architect in 2006.
Brian McDonald has been hired as project developer for RevoluSun. He will work closely with Hawaii homeowners to help them first reduce their overall energy consumption and then determine the best solutions to achieve energy independence. McDonald also will help each customer navigate the financing, design and installation of a solar system that best fits their needs. Prior to joining the company, he served as a Realtor in Costa Rica and Colorado.
Pat Tompkins has been appointed program manager for St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii’s Stay Healthy at Home, a program designed to help seniors age safely in their own homes. She most recently served for 11 years as chief planner with the City and County of Honolulu’s Elderly Affairs Division.
Carol Higa has been promoted to purchasing assistant for Bella Pietra. Higa will process purchases and input transactions. She joined the company in 2009 as a receptionist and general assistant and has more than 15 years’ experience in customer service and sales.
Dana L. Ward has been appointed manager of Kalama Heights Retirement Community. In her new role, Ward will ensure that all residents are happy and healthy, as well as oversee dayto-day operations of the facility. She first joined the retirement community in May 2004 as enrichment coordinator, before being appointed manager of the enrichment program.
