Mike Jones has been appointed circulation director for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and MidWeek . Jones’ last position was circulation director for the Pacific Daily News on Guam. Jones has more than 20 years of newspaper circulation experience, all with Gannett. He started his newspaper career at the Pacific Daily News in 1980 and was promoted to circulation director in 1987. He moved to Palm Springs in 1991 as home delivery manager at the Desert Sun. He returned to Guam as circulation director in 1987 and worked until 2000 when he retired and relocated to Oahu. “We’re very pleased to have someone with Mike’s extensive circulation knowledge and experience, and I’m sure he will serve us well,” says Dennis Francis, President and Publisher of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
Walter Tolentino has been named assistant manager of the Outrigger Waikiki Shore. Tolentino previously served as interim hotel manager of the OHANA Waikiki Tower. He joined the firm 1984.
Garrett H. Gray Jr. has joined the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund as a data entry associate. Gray will assist with the development and management of the local and national fundraising campaign data collection and processing.
Sandra Sakamoto Flippo has been named office assistant for the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund development office.
Gerald Yuh was elected to a second term as the business manager, and financial secretary of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1186.
Tony Long has been named a real estate loan officer of American Savings Bank. He previously worked at Bank of America in Seattle.
Hiram Pajo has been promoted to new associate of Group 70 International. He has more than 20 years of experience in architecture.
Stanley Brown has been appointed to the Hawaii Foodbank Board of Directors. He is the sales director for ConAgra
