Bonnie Kiyabu has been appointed general manager of Ocean Resort Hotel Waikiki. Kiyabu will run the 451-room property, which is in the midst of completing a reconstructive makeover and its rebranding as a Hyatt Place Hotel. Kiyabu previously was with the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa starting in 1976.
Mina Elison has been hired as ethnographer for Oahu archaeological company Keala-Pono. Elison, who was raised in Kailua, has been working in cultural resource management for the past six years. She has performed more than 45 ethno-graphic interviews with kupuna and knowledgeable community consultants, and has done archaeological fieldwork on the islands of Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Oahu and in American Samoa.
Eren Look has been promoted to senior vice president and branch manager of New Agent Training Office for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. As branch manager of NATO, Look will oversee CBP’s nationally renowned training program. Look has more than 25 years of real estate experience, beginning her career in 1985 as a sales associate.
Vinny DeJohn has joined Whole Foods Market’s Kahala store as an assistant store team leader. DeJohn will assist the leadership team with all store operations, store direction and vision. He also has held positions as assistant team leader and team leader of the specialty department.
Estralita “Lisa” Hoover has been named McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii 2011 Crew Person of the Year. Hoover began her career with McDonald’s in 1992 as a birthday party hostess, helping families celebrate that special day. Today, Hoover is a “STAR” - Store Activities Representative with McDonald’s of Aiea.
