Jerry Westenhaver has been named general manager of Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. Westenhaver, who will leave his role as general manager of Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa in New Mexico, helped open Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach in 1976 and has continued to return to the resort in various roles throughout his career with Hyatt Corporation. Westenhaver has been general manager at Hyatt Regency Tamaya, Hyatt Regency Sacramento, Hyatt Regency Islandia, Hyatt Regency Oakland and Hyatt Regency Cerromar.
Ann Teranishi has been appointed senior vice president and director of consumer credit management of American Savings Bank. In her new role, Teranishi will be responsible for the underwriting, documentation and closing processes for all non-mortgage consumer lending. Joining the bank in 2007, Teranishi previously served as the director of regulatory compliance.
Paula C. H. Chang has been promoted to vice president and deputy chief credit officer of First Hawaiian Bank’s Credit Administration Division. Chang has more than 20 years of banking experience, and in her new role she will be responsible for credit administration oversight for various business units. Chang joined FHB in 1991 as a management trainee in the Sales, Service and Training Division. A graduate of Kamehameha Schools, she has a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Alyson Estrella has been promoted by University Health Alliance (UHA) Hawaii’s only health benefits plan founded by physicians to manager of the newly formed regulatory compliance department. Estrella has been with UHA since 2002, and most recently served as UHA’s liability and regulator administrator. In her new role, she will oversee and manage regulatory issues. She also is responsible for UHA’s accreditation with URAC.
