Ruth Uy has joined Marriott International Hawaiian Islands Hotels & Resorts as associate director of travel industry sales for U.S. and international leisure. Uy will oversee leisure sales-related activities and opportunities with contracted travel industry partners within North America and Europe.

Christine Crowder has been named chief financial officer for Brookfield Homes Hawaii. Prior to joining the team at Brookfield Homes Hawaii, she was president of Crowder Accounting Services Inc.

Christopher M. DeVasier has been named restaurant assistant manager for Kona Brewing Company at Koko Marina. DeVasier’s past employment includes serving as a hotel assistant manager for Four Seasons in Boston, and operations manager for Hampshire House Corporation.

Danny Kaukaohu Sam has been named director of aloha for Kona Brewing Company at Koko Marina. He also manages retail sales and helps guests locate Kona Brewing Co. products on the Mainland. Sam joined the company in 1996.

Mei Ng has been named president of Na Kilohana O Wahine chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. Ng is an accountant for Pomare.

Lee Ann Matsuda has been named Woman of the Year/Top 10 nominee for Na Kilohana O Wahine chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. Matsuda is accounting manager of Easter Seals Hawaii.
