Cindy Morales has been promoted to general manager of Dixie Grill Bar-b-que & Crab Shack at Ward Avenue. She previously served as assistant manager for Dixie Grill in Aiea.
Lee Tokuhara has been promoted to senior account director for Bennet Group Strategic Communications. She joined the firm in 2005.
Wendie McAllaster is president of the Junior League of Honolulu for 2006 to 2007. McAllaster is a landscape architect and planner with Helber Hastert and Free Planners. She joined JLH in 1995.
Michael A. Carr has been hired as vice president and private banker on the family wealth management team in private client services for Bank of Hawaii. He previously worked as an independent tourism consultant and served as president of Polynesian Adventure Tours.
Nelson K. F. Dang has been promoted to vice president in the asset management group for Bank of Hawaii. He continues his role as manager of the performance measurement department and oversees analytic systems for investments.
Jennifer Lam has been promoted from assistant vice president and product manager in the investment products department for Bank of Hawaii. She will oversee mutual fund administration for Pacific Capital Funds.
Naoki Murayama has been hired as vice president and international relationship officer in the international commercial banking department of Bank of Hawaii. Murayama previously served as vice president of Japan business development at First Hawaiian Bank.
Antonio “Tony” J. Saguibo has joined Hawaii Medical Service Association as assistant vice president of marketing. He previously served as general counsel for the Laborer’s Union Local 368.
Diana Thayer has been promoted from office manager to executive assistant for Wilson Home Care where she will assist in day-to-day operations.
Alan McLelland has joined the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii as associate director for scientific administration. He previously served as vice president of discovery research for Hawaii Biotech.
Bill Sakaguchi joins Avalon Development Company as vice president of development. He previously managed residential and commercial projects for Architects Hawaii.
Janel Yamamoto has been named incubation specialist in the agribusiness incubator program at the University of Hawaii. She previously worked as the vice president and deputy chief compliance officer for First Hawaiian Bank.
Bruce Smith has been named vice resident for marine operations of HSI Electric. He oversees commercial and military field operations nationwide, including Guam. He previously retired from the U.S. Navy as captain.
Stephen Boyer has been named director of plant facilities for Shriners Hospitals for Children Honolulu. He previously worked as facilities manager of the East-West Center for nine years.
Iwalani Dayton has been promoted to director of development for Shriners Hospitals for Children Honolulu. She previously served as director of public relations and volunteer services for the hospital.
Robert Miller has been named executive chef of Tower Grill at Aloha Tower. Miller was previously with Don Ho’s Island Grill and Davey Jones Ribs, both owned by the parent company for Tower Grill.
Eiji Okabe has been named a customer relations account executive for Aloha Street. Okabe’s focus will be to strengthen existing client relationships while cultivating and tapping into a new market of clientele. Okabe has experience in graphic design, hotel and tourism industry.
Paul K. Schnur was promoted to vice president of hospital network management and support for Hawaii Medical Service Association. Schnur is responsible for contracting and support for HMSA participating facilities, including hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. He will continue to oversee two HMSA subsidiaries.
Suzie M. Shimizu was promoted from director of provider services to assistant vice president of customer relations for Hawaii Medical Service Association. Shimizu is responsible for combining the customer service and provider teleservice departments into a single management structure.
Mark H. Higa has joined WCIT Architecture as vice president and principal. Higa previously served as senior associate and designer with the firms of Architects Hawaii and Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, respectively.
Teri Orton has been named general manager of The Ilikai - Where Waikiki Begins. She previously served as general manager of the W Honolulu - Diamond Head Hotel.
