Lincoln Jacobe, who was featured on MidWeek‘s cover in 2005, has been described by colleagues as a “workaholic,” but as a young entrepreneur, business owner and community service advocate, he believes he has been able to balance his work schedule with an ever-important aspect of life: having fun.

“I never feel I work too many hours because my motto is work hard and play even harder! I really enjoy work, but I enjoy having lots of fun even more,” he says.

Over the course of 15 years, Jacobe and his business, Hawaii Pacific Entertainment, have grown into a premier communications consulting organization working with world-known celebrities such as John Travolta, Gene Simmons, the cast of LOST and more. Currently H.P.E. is working on communication and marketing strategies for January events, including a Mike Epps and Friends comedy show and the Legends of HipHop concert featuring Salt-N-Pepa.

H.P.E. utilizes a broad spectrum of business strategies including promotions, viral marketing campaigns, social media, public relations efforts and event planning to creatively and efficiently capture the essence of its clients’ image. Jacobe also foresees the trend in the communication field swinging heavily toward the Internet. “The field of communications will one day be done via the Internet,” he says. “That will include the way we advertise, promote and publicize marketing messages. Communicating via the Internet will be the future.”

From the age of 12 as a volunteer in the Red Cross’Young Volunteers in Action program, Jacobe has known the value of working with and for the community. Jacobe currently is president of the Miss Hawaii/Miss America Organization and serves on the board of the Children’s Discovery Center. When down time does find Jacobe, he likes to spend it with his family.
