Gov. George Ariyoshi held a reception for the Blue Planet Foundation Nov. 30 at Washington Place. Business and community leaders were in attendance to learn more about the foundation’s efforts to end Hawaii’s dependence on fossil fuels. The former governor serves on the board of directors along with other leaders including Henk Rogers and Darren Kimura.
