Aloha Medical Mission’s Anniversary Gala
Aloha Medical Mission celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Tapa Ballroom recently. Aloha Medical Mission has served more than 100 missions overseas and treated more than 250,000 patients. The organization is largely supported by a volunteer base of nearly 1,000 doctors, nurses, medical staff and lay people who pay their own way to travel on missions, and help provide supplies and resources to those in need. Honorary chairmen were Sen. Daniel K. Inouye and Allen Doane, chairman and CEO of Alexander & Baldwin Inc.
The event raised funds for the mission, a Honolulu-based nonprofit organization that provides free medical treatment to under-served residents in Hawaii and in 15 countries throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
